This 8 mile walk from Ripon to Studley Royal Park takes in the seven bridges valley and the amazing fountains abbey and Studley Royal gardens, excellent for a picnic and bottle of fizz.

Can’t think of a better place to take a picnic and bottle of bubbles. Especially when you’ve got a pint of blonde with your name on it back at the Water Rat in Ripon.
The walk from Ripon to Fountains Abbey and back is 8 miles but if you have a snooze on your picnic rug you can make it last all day 😴

Only a five minute walk from our holiday cottage in Ripon this is one of our favourite pubs to stop off after a walk with Roxy.Â
From inside the folding glass doors you have a fantastic view over the river Skell and up to Ripon Cathedral.Â
Plenty of choice on the beers, great food and a beer garden if you have a mad barking dog with you.
The path between this pub and the river takes you all the way to Fountains abbey and Studley royal park.
On a sunny day kick back and relax in the beer garden and watch the river, the ducks are the world go by..
